Homebound and Hospital Ministry. Provides Pastoral Care to the shut-ins, the sick and the dying by going into their homes and nursing homes, celebrating the Liturgy of the Word and giving them Communion on a weekly basis. The priests also visit the sick in the hospital for prayer and the reception of the sacraments: confession, anointing and communion.
If you are in the hospital, contact their Chaplain or Pastoral Care department. They will call the nearest minister or priest to you as soon as possible. When someone becomes seriously ill, an immediate family member should notify the church office. A priest will visit the homebound on a monthly basis. Lay Eucharistic Ministers will be assigned to visit on a regular basis.
